From the renowned Casa de Prieto in Mexico, this gorgeous cardinal bird brooch is perfect for the holidays. The likeness is incredible. It is very well made and beautifully rendered, the wings are applied and the feather details are engraved.
It is heavy, a little over 30 grams, and best suited for heavier fabrics.
The brooch is signed on a soldered metal tag which is found on the reverse.
In excellent condition. I believe the dark patina is part of the design. It is in excellent condition.
The brooch measures 2 1/8 inches (55mm) tall.
From the beak to the end of the tail is 3 1/8 inches.
