Oh, how I wish this beautiful bag were a backpack style- I would not be selling it! The pockets just don't quit! The main compartment is divided into 3 equal parts, the middle one with a zipper on top and one with a zippered pocket inside. The top of all of this is closed with an interior magnetic snap. On the outside there is a square zip-top pocket on one side, and on the other side, a square zip-around pocket containing card slots, a spot meant for a phone but now perfect for a flashlight, pen & pencil loops, plus two more open-top pockets. All of the zippers work perfectly and there are no perfume or smoke or other odors. There is a nice faint leather smell, and the leather is nice and soft.
